CASS is seeking an experienced Case Manager to work directly with homeless individuals in order to provide necessary support and referrals to appropriate agencies, and to assist them in obtaining and retaining suitable employment and stable housing in a self-sufficient environment.

Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS), is a non-profit 501 (c)(3), and the largest provider of shelter and services to homeless adults in Arizona. CASS offers a wide variety of services meeting the particular needs of the homeless community, including shelter for adults and families; housing and supportive services; dental services; and an accredited childcare program. Essential Functions:

  • Develop an effective case plan with clients based on individual needs
  • Refer client to appropriate Housing providers or if the client is job ready, assist clients in the employment process
  • Conduct weekly follow-up meetings with clients to provide continued support in achieving case plan goals
  • Provide training opportunities for clients
  • Participate Job Fairs, workshops, networking meetings, and training sessions

    Other Duties:
  • Conduct drug testing as assigned.
  • Build relationships with campus partners
  • Perform other duties as required.

    Skills / Requirements

    (Required)
    * 2 years college education or 3 years of related work experience.

  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

    (Preferred)
  • Bachelor degree in social or behavioral science or related field and six months directly related experience
  • Experience working with the homeless or impoverished
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
